With Fall fast approaching, it’s almost time to start bringing out those cardigans and booties! Fall is my favorite season, not only for the fashion, but also for the fresh start at a new school year! What a better way to revamp your style and soul?!

Can I seriously get an ‘Amen’ for being 100% real?? Let me just say that there are too many women that try to hard to get attention from the opposite sex and set the standards of being a woman to a whole other level.

These females are fake from their hair, nails, skin color, body, and personalities.

I don’t have fake hair or nails. I think tanning is a boring sport and I like to preserve my skin for as long as possible. I eat healthy and work out as often as I can. I fucking love food and I would only order a salad if it’s from Portillos. If I like you I like you, if I don’t I won’t associate myself with you. I have an amazing job where I make more money than most 21 year olds. I go to a Big Ten school where I bust my ass to have a 3.3 GPA and have an internship. I know where I see myself in 5, 10, 15, 50 years from now. I love to read and write. I count my blessing every morning, and thank the Universe and God for all that I have been given. MY family is my everything and love that I am Mexican and can fluently speak spanish. I am not racists, prejudice, or sexist. I am very liberal and have an open mind to learn.

Now tell me why there are so many girls that try too hard? If Comso says 80% of men love a natural looking girl, why are they dating these slores with fake titties? Where are the real men out there who would rather go to a ball game and have a brat then go to the bar with their bros and sleep with some random broad? I will never not be myself for anyone. There is a MAJOR difference between looking presentable, classy, and like a lady than wearing skin tight clothes, teasing my hair, and smoking cigarettes.

I just want to be appriciated and praised for being me. However, I feel overlooked by these little boys who just want to get their dick wet by these fake bitches. But I will never change for anyone but myself. I LOVE who I am and am so blessed to have such amazing features about myself and have no need to alter my appearance. So AMEN to all the naturally beautiful women out there in the world who don’t surrender to the pressures of the media, and to those women who love their body and are comfortable in their own skin! You go girl!

So I have been reading this book called The Secret and it has seriously changed my life for the better. Wait, for the best! It’s about the law of attraction and attracting positive energy and all good things to you. The only thing to do this is act and believe and you shall receive! Think like you already have something. For example say you want to lose weight. It is all in your head. Think I want to weigh 130 pounds. You must feel 130! Except what you look like and feel as though you weigh 130. Don’t think fat thoughts because if you do, you won’t achieve what you truly desire. All your thoughts must be positive thoughts. Even if you are thinking “I don’t want to be fat”, you are still signaling to the universe “i want to be fat!” The universe doesn’t know don’t and do apart. So always think positive because that positive energy is a strong frequency that you emit into the universe. And if you have a bad thought then change your frequency. That simple. I Suggest everyone to buy the book, read it, and allow it to change your life! The world is your oyster.

What do women want? We look for that perfect man tall, dark, handsome, funny, charming, intelligent, and sensitive. He loves animals enjoys waking up to the smell of coffee and you laying next to him. He is a dedicated worker and has strong family values. He gets along with almost everyone. A lover not a fighter. Sounds good right? Too perfect to be true?

Well then why is it that we women are tired of this man. This perfect man that is just so perfect on paper he makes us sick! I want this man AND MORE! Call me pathetic, shallow, and a woman with high standards, but one thing about me is I will NEVER settle.

This perfect man comes a dime a dozen. Seriously ladies, think about your past relationships, we were all with these bastards because we fell for them and thought they were everything we wanted. Yes we did later find out they were lazy, dirty, didn’t want to meet your friends or family, or just too into themselves. This perfect man is like a chameleon. He can transform himself into anything he wants to be. Think girls are the only ones who get PMS, hell no! Men can be the moodiest of people sometimes.

What about the ones that got away? Those gents that are still single after all these years? They are single for a reason! So back the fuck off and stop creeping on their page!

Ladies I am telling you that we don’t know what the hell we want. We want that man who will be our slave, pay the bills, and have dinner on the table. Hell we want it all and more. Give me flowers and chocolates just because you felt like it.

I don’t ask much. I don’t ask for anything out of my relationship. I am just tired of saying I want one thing, but after tasting it, it’s not what I really want. Sometimes Mr. Perfect gives me a heartache because even though he is good on paper, he is still missing the emotional and physical attributes that most women need. I want the lover AND the fighter. Someone who will love me and fight for me (not physically, well sometimes if the moment presents itself) fight for my love. Because when things get too comfortable, or when you know you got that person, then I guess that’s when you know things aren’t the way you wanted them to be. You get bored. And you move one and leave Mr. Perfect.

Midterm Season

I’ve been slacking writing in here. Blame ~~my professors~~ me going out out so much.

Second semster has been flying by. And let’s face it. UIUC has to be one of the biggest party schools around. Especially with the weather we have been having (Hey 50 in February means day party on Tuesday!) With syllabus ~~month~~ week, all the awesome happy hours, and Fraturday (Saturday) festivities, this has all taken a toll on my mind, health, body, and oh yeah that thing called school.

So what is one to do when you have 3 papers due Thursday, exam on Friday, and you only went to class 4 times this semester??!! Here are some simple, quick, and inexpensive ways to get back in control of your life.

1. RELAX. Take it all in and breathe. You are the only one who can stress yourself out, and you are the one who can calm yourself down.

2. PLAN. Get out those planners (or buy one their only $5) and write down what you have due on what date. When you use a planner it’s easier for your to see what you have going on. This way you can organize and prioritize yourself.

3. DON’T GO OUT. I know you have that 80s exchange with the Sig’s, and even though you’ve been dying to wear those hot pink neon leggings and dance to Madonna, you have to miss it. School comes first! No need to hate yourself for going out, waking up with a massive hangover, and bombing that exam. Not okay. There will be another chance to wear those awesome leggings I promise.

4. EAT HEALTHY. Ordering Papa John’s at the UGL (Undergrad Library) at 2AM is not a healthy dinner. (Yes I have done this before..) If you are not a healthy eater I totally understand. However, in order to do well and feel good about yourself during stressful times, nothing helps better than eating healthy. All you have to do is go to your local grocery store and buy some healthy goodies. Here is a list of some of my favorite things to munch on whenever I have a stressful school week. Eggs, tuna, bread, milk, cereal, bananas, yogurt, asparagus, broccoli, granola bars, veggie chips, peanut butter, and jelly. Everything I listed all total up to a pretty cheap grocery list. And they are all simple things I can make/eat on the go!!

5. GET ENOUGH SLEEP. This is the most important tip. If you don’t get a minimum of 7 hours of sleep the night before a big exam, all you are going to do during the exam is mix up everything you jammed into your head the night before and wind up with a very disappointing grade. I have never truly pulled an “all nighter”, but I did take my bio exam Freshman year on 3 hours of sleep. And trust me, I know I could have done a lot better. If you don’t get enough sleep you turn into a mean, worthless, zombie who fails at life and doesn’t have any friends. Sleep is your friend.

If you are like me and don’t know you have an exam until the night before, than these tips are useless. But if you want to become a successful, intelligent woman, and get an A on that midterm, use these tips to your advantage. Who run the world? GIRLS!

I absolutely love my city. Chicago is one of the most diverse cities in all of the U.S. It’s like if a woman and man of every nationality came together and made the raddest baby on the whole plant. BAM! Looking for BYOB thai, vintage shopping??? You want it? We got it! Look no further my dear! I got into town on Friday, since then I have been to RA sushi, Pinkberry froyo, Bloomies (new fav), and a bunch of other places I don’t know how to pronounce or spell. However, I will say that as much as I love Chicago, I am proud to say I will be attending NYC Fashion Week! Thank you, thank you. This will be my 2nd time going to the Big Apple, and all I can say is, where are you Chase Crawford?? I will be on the loose looking for LOVE. Sex and the City anyone? Just like jvox0 said “their gorgeous…but it was so annoying how almost every girl changed their Facebook status to “OMG FML I’M SO FAT I’M NEVER GONNA EAT AGAIN!”

I think the sexiest thing a girl can wear is her confidence. And if you don’t have it, then that is sad. We are all different, unique, and mysterious creatures that should be proud of who we are. And if you feel bad about yourself, change it. Not saying get plastic surgery, but feel like losing a couple lbs? Do it! I have been working out this whole week and I FEEL GREAT! I have more energy throughout the day, I haven’t taken a nap yet, I have been focused, and sleeping better during the night. That’s how easy it is.

Question: “What if I can’t change something I don’t like?”

Answer: Accept it! That’s right, accept it, and when you do, you will accept yourself. I use to not care for my nose, but now I love it! It is me, it gives me character. Once you accept who you know, other will accept you and love you!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe halloween! I know I am still recovering from all the nights I went out! So here is what I was this year

Me and my two girlfriends did Three Blind Mice. Sigma Chi had a “Pedophile” bar crawl! It was hilarious!!

We went to ISU on Friday. Mimi was Cleopatra, Jess was a belly dancer, and I a hippie.

Can anyone guess what drinks we are??
